FAQs

Answers to Your Questions, Support for Your Child’s Growth

Growth.

Clarity.

Support. Compassion.

1. What kinds of occupational therapy services do you offer?

At Bright Future OT, we help children from ages 2 to 18 with a range of developmental needs—from improving handwriting and concentration to managing sensory sensitivities or emotional regulation. Services include:

School readiness assessments

Fine and gross motor skills support

Sensory integration

Executive function and study strategies

Emotional and behavioral self-regulation

Individual therapy plans tailored to each child

Jessica works closely with each child and their family to build real-life skills that promote independence, confidence, and success in school and everyday life.

2. How do I know if my child needs occupational therapy?

If your child is struggling with tasks like sitting still in class, holding a pencil properly, following instructions, or managing big emotions, OT can help. Jessica uses detailed assessments and one-on-one sessions to uncover the root of these challenges and guide your child through supportive, skill-building activities that create lasting change.

3. Do I need a referral from a doctor or school?

No referral is required to start. Parents, caregivers, or teachers can reach out directly to us. If needed, Jessica can coordinate with schools or pediatricians to ensure a collaborative approach to your child’s care. Booking is simple, and our intake process is friendly and flexible.

4. Is everything shared about my child kept confidential?

Yes.

Jessica values your privacy and follows strict professional and legal confidentiality standards. All reports, assessments, and sessions are handled with care and discretion, and nothing is shared without your written consent—unless required by law (e.g., in cases of safety concerns).

5. What qualifications does Jessica have?

Jessica is a registered occupational therapist with years of experience in pediatric therapy. She holds advanced training in school-based intervention, sensory integration, and child development. But more than that, she brings a calm, compassionate approach that helps children feel safe, understood, and excited to learn and grow.

6. Do you offer online consultations or remote support?

Yes, we do offer online parent consultations, especially for intake discussions, progress check-ins, or strategy sessions. While most therapy is hands-on and in-person to support sensory and motor development, remote support is available when appropriate or needed.

7. How long does therapy usually last?

Every child’s journey is unique. Some children need a short-term boost for a specific skill, while others benefit from longer-term support. Jessica will provide you with a personalized therapy plan after your child’s assessment, including estimated duration and regular progress reviews to ensure measurable outcomes and growth.
